The law firm of Leventry, Haschak & Rodkey, LLC hosted Clink, Drink and Think PINK! Friday, May 31, 2013. The wine tasting event raised $5,000 for women’s services at the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center of Chan Soon-Shiong Medical Center at Windber.
The community event, held at the Richland Township Fire Hall, not only raised funds providing important services to uninsured and underinsured women but also raised awareness in research, prevention and the fight against breast cancer.
Wines featured from Starr Hill Vineyard & Winery, B & L Wine Cellars, Web Winery, Walnut Hill Winery and Raspberry Acres were sampled along with a selection of hors d’oeuvres. Each guest received a souvenir wine glass and two basket raffle tickets. Local businesses donated gift baskets and Walt and Jackie provided local live music entertainment.
Thanks to events like the “Clink, Drink and Think PINK!” which support women’s breast health screenings, death rates have been declining.
