1. What is your specialty?
My specialty is Orthopedic Surgery. I treat traumatic and degenerative problems of bones and joints, perform knee and hip replacements and arthroscopic surgery of knees and shoulders, and fix fractures and joint injuries.

2. Why did you want to become a Physician?
When it became clear that I was probably not going to have a career playing basketball, going to medical school became my fallback. I worked for a summer in a hospital and got to see up close what was going on, and that really turned me on to want to pursue this career.

3. What is one aspect of the job that you find rewarding?
It’s nice to see people’s lives improved by what we do.

4. In your opinion, what’s the future of your field?
I believe we will see more use of biologics to treat arthritis and therefore less need for surgery.

5. What do you do to achieve work/life balance?
I like to play basketball, play guitar and piano, chill with family and friends, and travel.

This includes but is not limited to radiologists, pathologists, emergency physicians, anesthesiologists, hospitalists, surgeons and others. Independent contractors are responsible for their own actions and the Hospital is not liable for the acts or omissions of any such independent contractors.
