On Tuesday October 25th, a check in the amount of $6,000 was presented to the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center from a Christmas in July Basket Party co-chaired by the late Wendy Spencer and Carol Burnworth. This special donation was presented by Carol Burnworth and Wendy’s husband Robert and mother Bea Hollern. Wendy Spencer was a breast cancer advocate, fundraiser, and strong supporter of the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center. She lost her battle to breast cancer earlier this month on October 8, 2011
