This position has the responsibility of being a staff therapist in the Respiratory Care department. It also has the responsibility of meeting the needs of patients effectively and efficiently by applying all aspects of Respiratory Care to assigned in-patients and out-patients. Patient care includes all medical therapies, educational information, Oxygen therapies, specialized procedures, and outreach programs within the scope of practice. As per departmental policy, on-call will be part of this position’s responsibilities. Associates degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school. National Certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist is preferred. Certified Respiratory Technician and valid PA license is required. ACLS certification required within 1 year of hire date. CPR preferred at time of hire, required within 6 months of hire date. Six months to one year related experience and/or training preferred.
