This position is responsible for providing nursing care in the Hospice Inpatient Unit and teaching patients and families the skills necessary to care for themselves at home. This position is also responsible for meeting patient/family needs effectively and efficiently through all life stages and age. Hospice Inpatient CNAs are responsible for assisting the RN within the realm of the Nursing Assistant Certification with respect to any changes with patients. Valid Nurse Aide certification required. This position is responsible for understanding and overseeing the Hospital’s clinical information systems as well as ensuring that all components are functioning properly. This position is also responsible for corrective actions regarding software and operating systems and contacting appropriate individuals regarding hardware issues. A clinical background is preferred to effectively interface with patient care staff and to understand their work practices and how information systems can best be utilized to facilitate the duties of staff in clinical areas. At least three years experience in a clinical hospital setting, preferably within a nursing or inpatient department, or an Associate’s degree in Information Systems required.
