Emergency Medicine Physician

Emergency Medicine Physician

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine trained provider to join us in pursuit of high quality patient care to provide full scope of emergency services including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, care of in house emergencies, and pronouncements of death. Examines, diagnosis, prescribes and administers quality, evidence-based health care to patients.

Full Time Positions

Certified Nursing Assistant – Hospice Inpatient Unit

This position is responsible for providing nursing care in the Hospice Inpatient Unit and teaching patients and families the skills necessary to care for themselves at home. This position is also responsible for meeting patient/family needs effectively and efficiently through all life stages and age. Hospice Inpatient CNAs are responsible for assisting the RN within the realm of the Nursing Assistant Certification with respect to any changes with patients. Valid Nurse Aide certification required. CPR required. Rotating shifts and weekend rotation required. 7-3, 3-11, 11-7 and 7PM shifts

Clinical Systems Analyst

This position is responsible for understanding and overseeing the Hospital’s clinical information systems as well as ensuring that all components are functioning properly. This position is also responsible for corrective actions regarding software and operating systems and contacting appropriate individuals regarding hardware issues. A clinical background is preferred to effectively interface with patient care staff and to understand their work practices and how information systems can best be utilized to facilitate the duties of staff in clinical areas. At least three years experience in a clinical hospital setting, preferably within a nursing or inpatient department, or an Associate’s degree in Information Systems required. Strong knowledge of clinical terminology and concepts preferred. Prior experience with information systems preferred. High degree of computer proficiency required. Strong analytic and logic skills a must, strong written and verbal communication skills essential, ability to negotiate agreement and work well within a team required.

Director – Surgical Services

This position is responsible and accountable for all activities related to the 24-hour clinical and administrative management of surgical services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations. The Director of Surgical Services works collaboratively with other nurse leaders in the development of patient care policies and procedures to meet all requirements. The Director will establish a cohesive and collaborative nursing team through active leadership. The Director is responsible for quality improvement, efficient and effective use of resources and compliance with regulations pertinent to Surgical Services. Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university required. Current PA RN License, CPR & ACL required. Minimum of five years management experience in acute healthcare environment required; two years of clinical experience in related specialty area required.

Medical Assistant – WindberCare Surgical

This position is responsible for providing clerical support including scheduling, handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, and miscellaneous billing. This position is also responsible for answering the telephone, ordering department supplies, and filing and maintaining current records for the office. Two years experience working as a Medical Assistant in an office setting required & CPR required. At least 2 yrs experience in scheduling and prior authorizations required.

Medical Office Secretary – WindberCare Surgical

This position is responsible for providing clerical support including scheduling, handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, and miscellaneous billing. This position is also responsible for answering the telephone, ordering department supplies, and filing and maintaining current records for the office. Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school. At least 2 yrs experience in scheduling and prior authorizations required.

Phlebotomist

This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of Laboratory Customer Service tasks. Acts as a clerk for the laboratory and effectively performs specimen collection procedures. This position will travel to Skilled Nursing Facilities and off-site draw locations. Must be a graduate of an approved Phlebotomy Training Program. Experience in a hospital or nursing home environment and geriatric and pediatric skills and able to perform heelstick on newborns preferred. Computer skills required. Must rotate weekends, shifts and holidays. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, valid registration and insurance. Will train. No Experience Necessary.

Physical Therapist – Early Intervention / Pediatrics

This position is responsible evaluating, treating and instructing patients in order to prevent, correct and alleviate impairment and functional limitations resulting from injury or pathology. This position assists patients in reaching their maximum performance potentials while learning to live within their capabilities. Current, valid PA Physical Therapy License required. Valid CPR certification required. Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance required. Pediatrics experience and/or training preferred.

Rad/CT Tech

This position, under the direction of the appropriate physician, is responsible for performing a variety of radiographic procedures using independent judgment. This position is responsible for ensuring high quality radiographic imaging services while maintaining efficient quality control and performance improvement programs as well as compliance with government regulations. Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in a radiologic technologist program required. Current, valid American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) registration required. CT imaging experience a plus or willingness to cross-train. CPR certification preferred at time of hire, required within 6 months of hire date. Six months to one year related experience and/or training preferred. Must be able to work shifts.

Registered Nurse – Ambulatory Surgery

This position is responsible for providing nursing care in an ambulatory setting and teaching patients the skills necessary to care for themselves at home. This position must be able to meet patient needs effectively and efficiently in medical and surgical areas of nursing and provides direction to other staff members regarding patient care. Minimum Diploma of Nursing required. Current, valid PA RN License required. CPR / BLS, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Dysrhythmia course preferred at time of hire, required within 6 months of hire date or enrolled in next available course. Six months to one year related experience and/or training preferred.

Registered Nurse – CCU/Med-Surgical/Telemetry

This position is responsible for providing routine nursing care within the scope of the Registered Nurse and intensive up-to-date treatment modalities for the critically ill or critically injured patient in the Medical/Surgical Unit and the Critical Care Unit (CCU). This position is also responsible to administer life saving measures within moments notice under direct medical supervision. Minimum Diploma of Nursing required. Valid Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license required. Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation certification, BLS, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications and Dysrhythmia and CCU Class preferred at time of hire, required within 6 months of hire date or enrolled in the next available course. Six months to one year related experience and/or training required.

Registered Nurse – Home Health

This position is responsible for providing total patient care for each home health patient that is based on the individual patient care plan and medical care plan with appropriate age-specific assessments, interventions, evaluation and care implementation. This position is also responsible for providing patient and family education as the foundation of nursing care. Valid PA licensure as a RN and PA driver’s license required. Current CPR Certification required. One year of experience and/or training in a nursing field required.

Registered Nurse – Hospice Home Care

This position is responsible for providing nursing care in patients’ homes/residences and teaches patients and families the skills necessary to care for themselves at home. This position is also responsible for meeting patient/family needs effectively and efficiently through all life stages and ages. This position also provides direction and oversight to other staff members regarding patient care. Valid/current PA Registered Nurse License required. CPR and valid driver’s license required. One year related experience is required.

Secretary – Windber Sports Complex

This position is responsible for the day-to-day scheduling of patients. This positions also responsible for the flow of information between patients, doctors, insurance companies and outside vendors. Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in a medical secretarial program. Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation certification. Six months to one year related experience and/or training.

Sterile Processing Technician

This position is responsible for maintaining recommended standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilization of surgical instruments. Performs sterilization, assembly, and storage of medical supplies and equipment. Collaborates with the Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets, equipment and case carts in an accurate and timely manner. May be assigned service specific technical responsibilities, including collaborating with the Director of Surgery and Operating Room service line RN Coordinators to provide resources and services for service specific instrumentation, supplies and equipment. Assists in maintaining consistent and continuous work flow, providing superior customer service. May be required to transport patients and do shave preps as needed by the OR. High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Must either have CRCST or CSPDT certification or license or certification to perform health services or must be certified as a CRCST or CSPDT within 18 months of hire. CPR certification preferred at time of hire, required within 6 months of hire date. One to two years experience as a central sterile Processing technician and/or training preferred.

Part Time Positions

Licensed Practical Nurse – Med-Surg/Telemetry

This position is responsible for meeting patient needs effectively and efficiently by applying complete nursing care to assigned patients. This position is also responsible for providing patient care through life stages of all ages in medical, surgical and telemetry areas of nursing. This position is also responsible for provides clinical oversight to other staff members regarding patient care. Certification from a college or technical school for Practical Nursing required. Valid PA LPN license or GPN with temp Practical permit required. BLS/CPR certification required within 6 months of hire. Three to six months related experience and/or training preferred.

Patient Care Tech – CNA or LPN – Med-Surg/Telemetry

This position is responsible for assisting the RN within the realm of the Nurse Assistant certification with respect to any changes with the patient, as well as transcribing orders, scheduling appointments & procedures, desk duties, & answering the phones. Valid Nurse Aide certification or LPN license required. CPR required. All Shifts required.

Certification in Palliative Care nursing within 2 years of hire, preferred. One year related experience is required.

Casual Positions

CNA – Hospice Home Care

This position is responsible for providing basic patient nursing care and select services to patients within their home setting. This position is responsible for providing for the patient’s needs and comfort. High school diploma or GED and Completion of a Nurse Aide training course required. Valid Pa Nurse Aide certification, current CPR certification and valid PA drivers’ license required. This position is Monday-Friday day shift.

Medical Tech or Medical Lab Tech

This position is responsible for performing all Lab testing as authorized by the Lab Director to include proper procurement of blood, urine & other specimens on all age groups, maintenance of all laboratory equipment, daily quality control of all laboratory departments, and reporting & maintaining all laboratory records. Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in a biology/medical related field or associate’s degree from a two-year college required. ASCP certified required. Minimum 2 years experience preferred. Must rotate shifts, weekends, and holidays. Must be competent across all Lab areas.

Registered Nurse – Hospice Home Care

This position is responsible for providing nursing care in patients’ homes/residences and teaches patients and families the skills necessary to care for themselves at home. This position is also responsible for meeting patient/family needs effectively and efficiently through all life stages and ages. This position also provides direction and oversight to other staff members regarding patient care. Valid/current PA Registered Nurse License required. CPR and valid driver’s license required. One year related experience is required.

Security Guard

This position ensures the safety of the hospital, hospital grounds and CSSIMMW for patients, visitors, and staff. Perform general light maintenance and courier duties as needed. High school diploma or GED and valid driver’s license required. Security experience preferred.

Speech Therapist

This position is responsible for planning, developing and administering speech therapy services to patients with a variety of diagnoses with the goal of improving speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, and fluency. Master’s degree or equivalent in a speech-language therapy field required. Current, valid PA, Department of State Speech-Language Pathologist License required. Valid CPR certification required.

Temporary Positions

Nursing Assistant / Nurse Extern

May – August

This externship under the direction of a RN will meet the patient needs effectively and efficiently by applying complete nursing care to assigned patients. Care must be provided through all stages of ages in medical, surgical and telemetry areas of nursing.

  • Currently enrolled in a Registered Nurse Program or licensed Practical Nurse Program approved by a State Board of Nursing.
  • A Licensed Practical Nurse student must have completed the medical-surgical rotation.
  • BSN Program. A student must be entering their senior year and have completed at least the medical/surgical clinical component of his/her educational experience.
  • Diploma Program. A student who has completed their second year of nursing school.
  • Associate Program. A student who has completed their first year of school as who is considered a senior.
  • BLS required
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 required.
