On June 13, Subaru of America, Inc. (“SOA”) and Spangler Subaru presented a check for $6,454 to the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center (JMBCC) at Chan Soon-Shiong Medical Center at Windber (CSSMCW). The JMBCC was chosen as a beneficiary in the 2018 Subaru Share the Love event, marking their third year of partnership.
From November 15, 2018 to January 2, 2019, customers who purchased or leased a new Subaru vehicle could select from a list of charities to receive a donation of $250 from SOA. For 2018, SOA selected the four national charities: ASPCA®, Make-A-Wish®, Meals On Wheels America®, and National Park Foundation. Subaru retailers could also elect to add a local charity; Spangler Subaru selected the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center as its “hometown charity.”
The generous support of SOA and Spangler Subaru helps fund Pink Ribbon Care at the JMBCC, a program that provides assistance for patients who are unable to pay for breast-related health services – including mammograms, follow-up diagnostic services, and genetic counseling.

The Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center (JMBCC) opened in February 2002 offering comprehensive and personalized breast care in one convenient location. The JMBCC is exists to prevent and treat diseases of the breast and other conditions that can impact the lives of the women served.
