Windber NHS Students and Mimo’s Pizza Co. Donate $1,800 to Pediatric Therapy Program

Students from Windber Area High School’s National Honor Society, their adviser, and Pino Gallina of Mimo’s Pizza Co. presented a $1,800 check on June 3 to the pediatric therapy program at Chan Soon-Shiong Medical Center at Windber.

Mimo’s and the students worked together to plan the May 25 fundraiser. Mimo’s donated a percentage of the day’s proceeds to the cause, while the students promoted the event in the community and collected additional donations for the program.

The pediatric therapy program provides physical, occupational, and speech therapy services to children. The program consists of a highly committed team whom work together to promote children’s greatest potential and opportunity for growth. This donation is expected to help with some of the program’s current needs, which include the purchase of therapy equipment that is specially designed for children to use.
