CSSMCW Welcomes New Gynecologist, Dr. Howard Horne

Chan Soon-Shiong Medical Center at Windber (CSSMCW) is pleased to welcome Howard Horne, MD, who will see patients at Windber GYN Associates beginning in December. He joins Reid Gentile, DO, FACOG; Ashley Beener, CRNP; and Laura Dziagwa, CRNP. Dr. Horne comes to the hospital with 18 years of surgical experience and specializes in obstetrics and gynecology.

“Giving personal attention to my patients is of the utmost importance to me. I believe in exceptional care, one patient at a time. I look forward to providing quality service in the small hospital setting here at CSSMCW where practice is, as it should be, family-like, but technologically cutting edge. My goal is to assist our patients in achieving healthy lives in a setting that is both comfortable and safe,” said Dr. Horne.

Dr. Horne received his medical degree from Northwestern University and completed his OB/GYN residencies at St. Luke’s University Health Network. He served as Chief Resident in OB/GYN at St. Luke’s. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) and was recently designated for focused practice in Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology by the American Board of OB/GYN.

In Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and Phillipsburg, New Jersey Dr. Horne had an independent OB/GYN practice affiliated with St. Luke’s University Health Network. He served as Medical Director of Women’s Health and Chief of Gynecology at St. Luke’s University Health Network, Warren Campus. He served on the Faculty at St. Luke’s for 14 years.

Dr. Horne specializes in well woman health maintenance and health screening, management of abnormal pap tests, minimally invasive surgery, chronic pelvic pain and painful menstruation, bladder problems, in-office surgery, pediatric and adolescent care, sexually transmitted diseases and sexual dysfunction, and menopausal problems.
